WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY – DIRECTOR OF TECHNICAL SERVICES – FOOD MFG?
- Contributor to shaping the future of food safety and quality within a leading organization
- Oversee technical operations, regulatory compliance & affairs, complaint management, customer audits, labeling, policies, procedures, traceability, etc.
- Oversight of R&D teams to innovate and enhance our product offerings.
- USDA labeling regulatory requirements including child nutrition, Organic, Halal, etc.
- Direct Hire role, generous base compensation, $120,000 plus discretionary bonus; commensurate with experience
- Role open due to retirement after 25+ years; great long term career opportunity
DO YOU ALIGN WITH THESE KEY QUALIFICATIONS?
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field; preferred advanced degree
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in technical leadership within the food industry – Ready to Eat - RTE experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (USDA, FDA) and quality management systems (HACCP, GMP, BRC, GFSI etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience in project management, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and external stakeholders.
- Office based role with frequent visits to production facilities and supplier visits, conferences, and regulatory inspections
